The copper longtail is a copper-coloured bird that players can capture with the Hunter skill at level 9 or above, granting 61.2 Hunter experience.

Catching a copper longtail is a requirement for the easy Western Provinces Diary.

The copper longtail is found in temperate wooded regions and is one of the most common birds in the world. Although its appearance is unremarkable it is a graceful and successful bird that continues to fend well for itself.

Hunting technique

edit
A copper longtail being caught.

The hunting technique is the same as for other birds. Players must set up a bird snare and wait until a bird gets stuck in it. Players may repeatedly use the same bird snare. Bird snares are available for purchase in Hunter shops.

Multiple traps

edit

Bird snaring can be done with multiple traps at once, with the maximum amount of traps depending on the player's Hunter level.
