A young impling can be caught using a butterfly net and put into an impling jar. These Implings can be found both in Puro-Puro and the whole of Gielinor.
A Hunter level of 22 is required to catch them using a butterfly net, or level 32 to catch them barehanded.
In Puro-Puro, there are guaranteed respawn points halfway along the walls at the four outer edges of the map.
Players can right-click a butterfly net to open the Impling Tracker, where they can see how many Young implings they have caught inside Puro-Puro and the surface world. Young implings that are caught barehanded are also tracked on this log.
At current Grand Exchange prices, opening a young impling jar gives 1,039 worth of loot, on average. This means opening young impling jars marks an average profit of −2,805 per jar, however this does not include loot from clue scrolls.
On average, one would profit −140,271 to get an easy clue scroll, and −70,136 to get a beginner clue scroll from young impling jars at current Grand Exchange prices, excluding the rewards from the completed Treasure Trails.
