The fermenting vat is examinable scenery containing ingredients that ferment together to make asgarnian ale. The process and steps for brewing are detailed on its own page.
The five variations of asgarnian ale fermenting vats corresponds to a specific step in the brewing process:
- Prior to adding ale yeast, the vat contains two buckets of water, two barley malt, optionally the stuff, and four asgarnian hops.
- After ale yeast is added, the contents of the vat will begin to ferment.
- Though still in the fermentation process, part way through process the contents advance a stage and are partially fermented.
- Upon completion the contents turn into either normal asgarnian ale, mature asgarnian ale, or bad ale. The chance it becomes mature is normally 5%, but with the stuff added it becomes about 64%.
Turning the nearby valve drains the vat's contents into the nearby empty barrel so that the barrel of asgarnian ale or barrel of mature asgarnian ale can be drained or emptied into beer glasses or calquat kegs, producing a total of 8 pints.
