The Wire machine is a machine that produces wire. It is located next to the anvil in southern Dorgesh-Kaan. It can be stolen from at level 44 Thieving to receive a piece of cave goblin wire and 22 Thieving experience if successful. After 8 ticks, 5 seconds, the wire respawns and can be grabbed again (a total of 10 ticks per wire stolen). On failure, the player will take 5 points of damage and be temporarily stunned.

2 wires will be stolen each time if the Elite Lumbridge & Draynor Diary is completed. Rogue equipment has no effect on how much wire is stolen from the machine.

Due to cave goblin wire's use in crafting light orbs, it has a value of 1,508. This makes stealing from the wire machine a potential source of profit. However, the Thieving experience gained is poor, capping out at around 13,000 experience per hour, assuming no downtime and no failures, but a more realistic experience rate is somewhere around 9,000 experience per hour.
