Raw slimy eel is a fish that can be caught with a fishing rod and fishing bait. They require a Fishing level of 28 to catch, and grant 80 Fishing experience per catch when caught in the Lumbridge Swamp Caves, Dorgesh-Kaan South Dungeon, or the Ruins of Camdozaal. They grant 65 Fishing experience when caught in the Mort Myre Swamp. It can be cooked into cooked slimy eel with a Cooking level of 28.

Raw slimy eel is one of the required items in Land of the Goblins, where it is used as bait to catch a Hemenster whitefish. It is also a possible item needed to obtain the magic secateurs in Fairytale I - Growing Pains.
