The crest parts are items obtained during the Family Crest quest. Each part is owned by one of three Fitzharmon brothers, who have all left their family home. Each brother took a separate piece of the crest with him to prevent the other two brothers from inheriting the family fortune.

The player must complete a set of tasks for each of the brothers as follows:

• Caleb (Catherby): Collect five different cooked fish: swordfish, bass, tuna, salmon, and shrimp
• Avan (Al Kharid); Make a 'perfect' ring and 'perfect' necklace.
• Johnathon (Varrock): Defeat the demon Chronozon in Edgeville Dungeon.

Once the player has all three crest pieces, they can be combined to make the whole family crest, which can then be given back to Dimintheis Fitzharmon, the boys' father, in Varrock.

Trivia

• Upon first being received, Avan's crest part may not be retrieved after being lost or dropped. Therefore, it also can't be immediately drop tricked. However, after obtaining Johnathon's crest part from Chronozon, the player may speak to Avan to retrieve his crest part.
• When the three crest parts are dropped on the same tile on the ground, they're oriented to still visually form the full family crest.
