The icon segments are items hidden in chests within the Lassar Undercity during Desert Treasure II. They are used to assemble the strange icon to progress through the quest.

The segment with the fingers is found in a chest in the southernmost house of the southern Science District. Meanwhile, the segment with the palm and thumb is found in a chest in the house on the west side of the entrance to the Cathedral in the Western Residential District. Both of these require a shadow torch to destroy the tentacles blocking the entrances.
