The prisoner's letter is a letter found in the Ghorrock Prison during Desert Treasure II - The Fallen Empire. It is obtained by searching the skeleton in the prison cell the player was locked up in upon arrival.

Something isn't right. The war is over and the gods are gone. We should be leaving this place, but instead we remain. Apparently, the Duke requires us to make preparations before we return to the surface, but there is something we are not being told. The Duke hasn't left the asylum in days, and every day, more people are taken down there... never to return. I feel something terrible is fast approaching. We must leave before it does.

They'll have my head if I am discovered helping prisoners, so we must be discreet. I have made arrangements for you to be moved into the cell next to Sarina's. You'll need to work together to get out. Once you have, head to the chapel in the refugee camp. You'll find what you need there. Good luck.

P.S. Your new cell should have a latrine bucket. I trust you'll know what to do with it.
