Frostenhorn

The Frostenhorn is a magical artefact that amplified power to "unimaginable levels".^[1] During the Second Age, it was possessed by the Zarosian Empire and located in their capital, Senntisten.

During the God Wars, it disappeared from Senntisten, around the same time that Azzanadra, the Pontifex Maximus of the Zarosian Empire, was imprisoned by Saradominist and Zamorakian forces.^[2] It eventually made its way to Ghorrock Prison, sometime before the Fifth Age. During the quest Desert Treasure II, the artefact is destroyed by Sliske, disguised as an assassin.^[3]

The destruction of the Frostenhorn is not immediately apparent, as other Mahjarrat believe it is actually located in the Ancient Vault. However, once opened, the vault is revealed to actually hold the Elder Horn, with the Frostenhorn having already been destroyed. This is extremely troubling for Azzanadra, as he had wished to use it alongside a relic and the strange icon in order to contact Zaros.^[4]
