smithing and alching addy plates[edit source]

i did the math and in an ideal situation we coulg get 220000 gp per hour by smithng and alching adamant plates. pls someone create the page i dont know how to —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 2800:560:20:1d9d:fc18:dae6:f1ca:221b (talk) on 20:30, 10 August 2021 (UTC).

HAM follower thieving[edit source]

The HAM follower thieving method for making money no longer works. They have updated the game so you cannot sell clue scrolls  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 2601:283:401:B990:19FC:E6CB:FC69:10D9 (talk) on 06:04, 12 November 2020 (UTC).

That money making guide shows you the expected value of the clue scrolls collected. This is explained in the text of the guide itself. Clue scrolls have never been tradeable in Oldschool. Andmcadams (talk) 06:15, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

No longer profitable[edit source]

Making harralander potions:

Harralander costs 898 at the moment and the unfinised potion is only worth 837 (at the time of writing this, 2:22pm pacific time), it is actually a loss to make these now  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 22:22, 21 November 2020 (UTC).

Brutal Black Dragons Rune Bolts vs Diamond Bolts (e)[edit source]

When using the Dragon hunter crossbow going from diamond bolts (e) to rune bolts give you 7% more DPS while the diamond bolt (e) spec only gives about 5% to 6.67% more DPS(depending on if you are using armadyl/god d hide or void) and costs more. Either way, based on my calculations, rune bolts are better if using the dragon hunter crossbow. Diamond bolts (e) seem to only be good with every other crossbow because you lose the accuracy bonus of the dragon hunter crossbow. Please check if i'm correct. This is assuming the diamond bolt spec is giving 15% more damage and a guaranteed hit 10% of the time which i'm unsure about because the wording on the wiki page is confusing.

Skeletal wyverns need a revamp. The strategy page is great.[edit source]

You can reach 35+ kills per hour with 80+ range, d hide/void, dragon cbow (not hunter), fury, and rune bolts.

You can reach 40+ kills per hour with 80+ melee, obsidian armor, and whip

You can reach 65+ kills per hour with 90+ range, armadyl/elite void, dragon hunter crossbow, anguish, and rune bolts.

You can reach 65+ kills per hour with 90+ melee, bandos, and dragon hunter lance.

Add 5+ kills per hour if using eagle eye/ultimate strength/incredible reflexes which can easily be done 33%+ of the time because you get constant prayer potion drops.

Add 10+ kills per hour if using rigour/piety which can easily be done 33%+ of the time because you get constant prayer potion drops.

Subtract ~7 kill per hour if using the safespots because you will have to wait 5 seconds between kills for the wyvern you are camping to respawn.

95+ kills per hour if maxed out non safespotting.

80+ kills per hour if maxed out safespotting. (limited prayer and 5 second respawn timer)

For range void is always better but god d hide/armadyl is not far behind.

Rune bolts increase your kills per hour enough so that they are worth the extra cost over broad bolts.

With the additional kills you get you are better off using the prayer potion drops for offensive prayers rather than keeping them to sell. 16:28, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

Revenant Caves Has Changed[edit source]

Smelting steel bars at Blast Furnace[edit source]

I think the 5400 bars per hour rate is tick perfect without any lag and not achievable by regular players. Even nearly tick perfect I can't reach above 4600 and that's while seriously straining myself for a short period. On a longer run I average around 3600 bars per hour, without mistakes. I think the default rate should be lowered to give a more honest projection of expected profit, especially because of the high amount of time players have to invest in getting the coal bag.

Atoxhybrid (talk) 16:51, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

Here is a video proving 5400 bars per hour is doable by a wiki admin. Fjaratalk 17:07, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
To add on to this, the above video is a little outdated (it needs to be redone). The recent coal bag update freed up an additional 2 ticks per lap, which pushes the effective rate closer to ~5800-5900 bars/hr. -Towelcat (talk) 21:13, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

Auto-Casting "Plank Make" on Mahogany Logs[edit source]

Category- Skilling
Intensity- Low (High if Manual)

Requirements -

  • Level 86 Magic
  • Completion of Dream Mentor
  • Earth Staff (any)

Recommended - Rune Pouch
Equip an earth staff. Then withdraw coins, a rune pouch (astral and nature runes), and an inventory of Mohaogany Logs. Cast "Plank Make" on the Logs. Deposit planks. Repeat.
GP Rates: Creates a profit of 317 (Plank Make) coins every 5 ticks (3 seconds) while using auto-cast. Maximum of ~380k per hour, probably around 370k with banking.
Exp rates: 90k-98k for magic.
Notes -

  • You could do it manually and make ~40% increased profit and exp. I don't do this, so I'm submitting it under "auto-casting"
  • GP- ~148k more per hour(518K)
  • XP-~60k per hour (166k)

Liosrakia (talk) 14:58, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

Making Cadantine Blood Potions (Unf)[edit source]

Similar to any other herb processing, making Cadantine Blood Potions (Unf) has a margin (according to GE/wiki) of ~800gp/ea. Using estimate of other herb processing pages, 3,400 unfinished potions/hr would be ~2.7m GP/hr. Wiki shows 111k daily volume. Notable Product: Bastion(4) daily volume 168k. Materials: Cadantine daily volume 300k and Vial of Blood daily volume 300k.

I tried looking through the archive for this but I’m on mobile so difficult to search. I don’t want to sell mine because I’m training herblore, but someone else can try it out.

Cast High level alchemy on steel items[edit source]

Requieres 55 Magic Level , cast High level alchemy on steel items is profitble around 205-333 (Less current nature rune and fire rune cost) coins , only is profitable when cast on Steel Platebodies , Platelegs And plateskirts , Aproximately 5-133 coins.

Item HA Val. GE Val. Profit

Steel platebody 1200 877 133 steel platelegs 600 395 5 steel plateskirt 600 344 56

Other alternative are rune arrows wich High level alchemy cost is 240 coins and GE cost is 39 coins. But as well known the cost of the nature rune has variated the last year and recently is not so profitable. The next line was written with data of 24 th february , 2021.
Nature rune current cost 200 coins now in't profitable
some time before costs 139 coins in the past was profitable
Hope the price of nature rune get down for alching with rune arrows back!.
 Written by haspirine477 08:45, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
Since 2015, nature runes have not go below 178 coins so it is highly unlikely that they will ever be profitable from purely buying things from the GE. High alchemy is an interesting MMG idea Fjaratalk 14:28, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

Dont trust ALL TIMES in the guide!!![edit source]

I Have noticed something dont trust all times in the guide remember, that not all times things are sold in GE at its same price , it depends in the demand and ofert of items, trust me that guide of pies sounds very easy to gain gold but i went my time in 500 pies for 75000 coins, i have lost 28000 coins, dont make the same mistake so i did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the bottom of each Money Making Guide, you will find the following:
Due to constantly changing prices on the Grand Exchange, some information in this article may or may not be current.
It is strongly recommended to check the live prices on the Grand Exchange before making large investments in any method.
You are also able to check the volume traded on the individual pages for the items. If the volume is low, then you either need to wait a longer period of time or you can choose a different method. Not all guides are consistently profitable, nor is there any guarantee that things can or will be sold. These exist because they are theoretically possible and tracking street price is unrealiable due to its nature of being much more easily manipulatable. Also, not all products of MMGs will be sold/traded instantly, if you have not waited a few days for the price you are looking for, then it is highly recommended to do so. Mining clay and watering[edit source]

Needs as least 41 mining and a rune pickaxe for a fastest mining rate, also, 14 buckets, the best area for this making money is in rimmington, where you can mine clay, fill your buckets in a nearby fountain, wet the clay and store it in the deposit box of port sarim, the player gains around 2,400 coins per lap and members is suggestable for make teleport tablets at POH.

Money Making Misteries[edit source]

Why should Old School RuneScape Set up a page of money making with the cost of loots that in grand exchange aren't bougth? per example pies, pies ere rarely sold/bougth but i think must be updated the REAL price in which pies are traded, because is so disliked you thoug you are gaining some gold for your account and when you are going to sell you have 30-40% the gold of what you was hopping o have. See it by yourselves in the money making guide.

Cleaning herbs is AFK, meaning that the "intensity" should be lowered to low[edit source]

This would put it in line with the other AFK skilling intensities, which are also classified as low.

Grabbing bronze picks[edit source]

It should be profitable to pick picks from the Barrel (Ruins of Camdozaal) and store them in the bank chest that's really really close. Page said I have to do this before I make a page about a new method. Lemme run some checks now MeneerPjoeterBliep (talk) 14:35, 20 April 2021 (UTC) I tried it for five minutes and averaged about 1876 picks per hour. Making an article about this method would thus either be about 185,724 per hour, or it would completely ruin the bronze pick market. Should I make a little article about this stupid tactic?MeneerPjoeterBliep (talk) 16:02, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

Casting Plank Make missing?[edit source]

Hi! Sorry about that. The reason was because the profit was under 150k/hour per the code that we have in Module:Mmgtable. I have adjusted it to now show guides that produce at least 100k/hour for members which this one does. Should now be back on the main MMG page. :) --Legaia 2 Pla · ʟ · 17:34, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Profit with no ranger boots[edit source]

The profit (losses) for not getting the ranger boots does not include the value of the empty jars, which would benefit the player, and potentially make this a money maker as long as you do the clues at all. I do not know how to fix it in the wiki 22:57, 27 April 2021 (UTC)yodude3234

Outdated Adamantite Ore Mining[edit source]

Mining addy ore is currently under the 100k threshold. However, I still took at look at it and it's really, really outdated. I put my suggestions for updating it on the page, though I haven't had time to do any rate testing. Even if the rates aren't tested right away, I think at the very least we could take the Hobgoblin mine off the table and replace it with the mining guild. There are so many more advantages to mining guild. At the bare minimum, the core of the guide should be written for the mining guild (money making methods should show optimized methods) and Hobgoblin mine should be moved down. :)) Liosrakia (talk) 22:16, 1 May 2021 (UTC)

Money maker :exchanging mole parts[edit source]

I feel as if this needs an update to the money making guide and revision to see if it is infact still making money also i think it would be better to do a guide with a smaller amout of gp invested (5-10m) and then show the money made (if this method is still making money.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 11:08, 9 May 2021 (UTC).

Killing red spiders in the underground temple Forthos dungeon near the woodcutting guild teleport to the east over the bridge then northwest past the altar yields upto 400k gp per hour and 45k xp per hour for combat level 80+ I recommend 65+ for attk strength and def and obsidian armor and weapons+ and combat potions help also ring of wealth to collect the frequent 500gp drops from the spiders very good money making method for lvl 70+ adventurers best drops are rune full helm rune dagger as well as adamant armor and weapons which can be high alch'd with runes dropped there also grubby key worth 40k which drops about every 10 mins with constant kills if you are lucky. Getting air talismans from nothing for newbies[edit source]

I propose to move this as a money making guide in the main namespace. More tests are needed, I assumed 1h is 7 27x inventories and the first full one (217), minus some delay, counting the time to go back and forth the bank to note items. It is not a great method, but a method requiring no input, thus meant at newbies.--Nickanc (talk) 14:46, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

I believe it takes about 7 ticks to get a talisman from Horatio, 1 to put it on the table and 2 to take it from the table (total 10 ticks per tally), and about 30-40 seconds to bank the talismans. So say it's 15 ticks per tally + 40 seconds bank time, you would get a full inv every (284 secs =) 5 minutes, so 12 invs (i.e. 300 tallys) should be very reasonable imho. MeneerPjoeterBliep (talk) 15:52, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
You are right. Given it is intended to newbies, probably we can put a default of 270, but just because we assume they are not optimized players. If no objection is raised, later or tomorrow I move the page in the main namespace.--Nickanc (talk) 16:01, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

Lizardman Shamans[edit source]

These are my rough estimates for Lizardman Shaman based on my own experiences, the Shaman slaying guide, and the following videos: <- solid info as well <- this one is a bit more 'realistic', has info like cannonball usage, overall kill usage in each location etc.

Would appretiate a double check on basically everything. This is the first time I've added a combat guide, but logically I think there may be some outputs that should not be added even though they are part of the average value, like Big bones, Xerican Fabrics, Chili Potatoes, because the lack of inventory space, thus impacting the speed of the KPH. Lizardfangs could also go on this list due to their low value, but I left them on the table. I also was not sure if I should add the rare drop table, so I left that off. Everything else should be there.

I made two seperate versions based on location because of how much it changes the variables. The first one had some naming issues (not sure what I did wrong) but it should be 'Temple/Caves.' The link is :
The second one is Money_making_guide/Killing_Lizardman_Shamans_(Canyon)

Cheers! Liosrakia (talk) 00:35, 28 June 2021 (UTC)

updated iron ore[edit source]

I updated iron ore to more modern standards. I left some notes on the talk page, but essentially there could be an argument to revisit lower-level guides for iron ore, and rename my rework with the (motherload mine) location parentheses. Just wanted to this here as well for visibility if anyone has any thoughts on this as, as, while I don't think the level 60 requirement is particularly high level nor hard to acquire, I don't want to be removing valid information for lower leveled guides. I just feel that money making guides that are skilling based should typically focus on the highest efficiency areas and methods. Cheers! Liosrakia (talk) 04:57, 28 June 2021 (UTC)

Catching Karambwan's[edit source]

Create a page showing the profit catching Karambwan's, including the time needed to catch Karambwanji's, with the fastest banking method. 13:16, 13 September 2021 (UTC)

Hello, I was looking for the same thing and could not find it. I switched from Infernal Eels earlier this week and seemed to notice more EXP and Gp per hour. I decided to put it to the test to compare to against infernal eels and sacred eels. My goal is to prioritize exp, AFK then money making. Here is what I found: Gear Anglers Outfit with 93 fishing, Fish Barrel, Quest Cape, Karamja 4 gloves, and dragon harpoon. Starting off I recorded how many karambwanji's i could catch in 15 minutes. I caught 4101 and was getting 19 to 20 per "catch" depending on if I was fully harpoon boosted. Next I did an hour of Karambwans and used 1342 small bait fish. To catch karambwans I used a Quest Cape to teleport to legends guide and then use the fairy ring to DKP and run north to the fishing spot. I let my fish barrel and inventory fill up and then used the karamja gloves to teleport the gem mine and empty my inventory and fish barrel. Rinse and Repeat. I caught 798 when paying full attention. This would but the effective time split at 4.6 minutes catching the small fish and 55.4 minutes fishing Karambwans. Overall this would lead to ~250k gp per hour (current price 342 ea) and 38,000 fishing exp per hour. Changes that could be done to make the method more profitable, wear Rada's blessing to gain extra fish and use better teleports. I think Crafting Cape (bank) and Construction Cape (fairy ring) would be faster but I do not have the levels for these. A lower level requirement method would be to use fairy ring DJR for getting to the bank. I believe this would make catching Karambwans at more money per hour, more exp per hour and more afk than eels. (more AFK would be total time away from keyboard, you have more inputs between inventories than catching and smashing or cutting eels) I do not know how to make a money making guide otherwise I would add.

Myths Quild greens vs Wildy ones(even without diary)[edit source]

I Myself dont see any difference with the speed you can kill green dragons at the Myths vs wildy, since you can just teleport to a bank and right next to the dragons in no time. why is it assumed that you get up to 170 kills an hour at the myths guild versus the wildy I do not know. if anyone has an answer to this, yes please give me one. you also get a looting bag in the wilderness, so it really makes 0 sense. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 13:53, 14 September 2021 (UTC).

Myths guild greens vs Wildy[edit source]

what is the reasoning for assuming 170 kills at Myths guild but 100 wildy? moat people would bring a cannon, LANCE torture torso(or full dhide) and anti-dragon shield. with this gear you 2 hit the dragons pretty much everytime, banking takes 0 time and you also have a looting bag.

Or is it assumed everyone who kills green dragons in the wilderness is a lower level? im just curious, or do the green dragons at myths guild drop something im not aware of?

It is possible that it has just not been updated, if you'd like to test the mmg for a bit you can verify the rate, or you could change it to something similar on the wildy page. I'd imagine the myths guild would still be slightly better still. Fjaratalk 14:15, 14 September 2021 (UTC)

Add Return Over Investment (ROI) to the tables[edit source]

Most methods require a big investment, so even though the Profit is high, the risk is also high. I wouuuld like to add a ROI column for each method, which simply calculates (outputs - inputs) / inputs. I don't know how to do that myself, but the information is already there and I'm eager to learn if someone can guide me.

Bloodae (talk) 22:27, 28 September 2021 (UTC)

I also think this is very usefull, as sometimes you need to make the best of the gold you have, and a ROI column would allow that easily. I'll work into it.

Added guide on mining coal and superheating Mithril[edit source]

I just created Mining coal and superheating Mithril bars. If someone wants to create equivalent guides for superheating Adamantite or Runite bars, go ahead. I don't have the required Smithing level for either, so I can't measure how many bars per hour it'd be possible to create.

I'd also like to restructure the guide around using the Mining Guild instead of teleports, since the teleport runes cost calculation makes the template a bit messy. IMO it'd be better to use the Mining Guild as the baseline and mention other methods in the Details section, since the cost of the teleport runes is relatively minor. But I don't have access to the Mining Guild yet, so that'll have to wait, unless someone else wants to do it.

This is also a F2P guide. I don't know if members have access to significantly better ways of using this method. (talk) 12:06, 29 September 2021 (UTC)

This is fine as F2P only, I'd recommend going through with the mining guild only and they adding alternatives to details. if I get around to it, i will try it out for adamantite and runite. Fjaratalk 16:29, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
I just did adamantite in the mining guild. I'm 84 Mining which will skew it a bit, but I did 63 bars in ~47min 23 sec. Thats an inventory of 20 ore, mining an extra 6 coal, superheating 1 more bar in the bank. That is approximately 80 bars per hour. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Fjara (talk) on 18:24, 29 September 2021 (UTC).
1 hour of runite was 62 bars, again rune pick, in mining guild with 84 mining. So assuming a person has 60 mining (req to get in the guild), they will be slower. purely lazy math here, each coal would take 3 ticks more to aquire on average. that means for 62 bars of runite it would take ~893 seconds or 14.75 minutes longer (about 50 bars per hour). and for adamantite its about 57 bars per hour when adjusted Fjaratalk 03:40, 30 September 2021 (UTC)
I rebased the Mithril guide on my measurement at the Mining Guild at level 60 Mining and created the Adamantite version based on my rate of acquiring coal during that measurement. Since the profitability of this method mostly dependends on coal mining speed, I'd say this is an accurate method to interpolate rates for other bars, as the calculation is a simple one.
I did my measurement at the six coal rocks between/close to the adamantite rocks along the southern wall of the Mining Guild. IMO this is the most efficient place to mine coal at the Guild (at least with my Mining level) since they're located closer together than other rocks at the mine and running from one rock to the next doesn't consume very much run energy, and overall you actually end up gaining a bit of energy. At least at 60 Mining, it's not worth it to run to a coal rock outside of these six even if you've mined all six and have to wait for one to respawn, because running to a coal rock farther away depletes run energy and takes time. Maybe at a higher Mining level it'd be worth it to run to some of the rocks close to these ones to expand the "coal circle". There also weren't other coal miners around, so I had no competition, and I wasn't wearing anything other than the Staff of Fire to shed unnecessary weight.
With my count, I'd be able to produce 58.66 Adamantite bars per hour. Taking into account that you need to bank less often when making Addy bars (about every 15 minutes for Mithril vs 20 minutes for Adamantite), I just rounded that up to 60 bars per hour for the time saved.
I'll probably create the Runite bar version too, but I think it'd be much more valuable to also have higher Mining level data mentioned in that one since it's less likely that someone with 90 Smithing would only have 60 Mining. If you or anyone else could see if the southern wall coal rock group is even faster at higher levels, that information could also be applied to the other guides. (talk) 01:47, 2 October 2021 (UTC)
Sounds good, I also used that same location + the 2 closest coal rocks to the north of that group of 6 and it worked out really well timing-wise at 84 mining. You can use my rates at 84 or you could try to use a higher level but that might be hard to justify using for a f2p mmg. I would just mention that the "kph" is based on a higher/specific mining level in the |details = section. All of my rates are using that group of six + 2 north of it so I think your rates are spot on for level 60 and we were both pretty close in efficiency (our conditions/equipment/location were all the same and the math closely backs that up). Vorkath supply section is wildly misleading[edit source]

I only get about 20 kph but I don't use even close to 100 of each bolt type, I go through about 60 ruby and 40 diamond. These are very expensive supplies and the calculation is greatly skewed by assuming 100 of each is used Demalition90 (talk) 09:53, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

so 30kph would use 90 ruby, and 60 diamond for you. It also kinda depends on your stats/gear/ava's device as well. but it can definitely be tweaked. And they should also not the same amount for sure. Fjaratalk 15:46, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

I'm not sure of anyones stats, so its hard to be particularly accurate gauging this, change them to what you feel would be most fair or accurate. Looking at this video where they do 6 kills, the per hour usage would be 60 diamond, 100 ruby. Besides ranged being 95, it looks like otherwised max loadout, so personally (because i dont know demalition's stats, i would only change diamond to 60-ish Fjaratalk 03:40, 25 December 2021 (UTC)

Killing zalcano[edit source]

Could killing zalcano be added as a guide? I'm happy to contribute in terms of kills/hr and supplies required, but not sure how to make the page.

Anomiee (talk)

@Anomiee: It could be, I recommend leaving the details here, and then someone could build a page around it. Zalc has a weird drop table/formula so it might be a bit difficult to formulate, but information about it will definitely help. Fjaratalk 15:42, 3 December 2021 (UTC)

I think you can get around 13 kills per hour. Based on this video. That's for a smaller team. This isn't entirely functional, like you said the rates are odd, but if we assume this is the "average" player, I think we can use the base drop rates andjust went ahead and put the basic parts together. This is by no means accurate, I think that you could make a lot of adjustments concerning a skilled four man team and the average points they will be get per round (likely max). So this would truly be the most average rates for the most average player.

The profit rate assumes 13 kills per hour in a four man group.

The amount of standard resources (runes, ores, bars) are are based on the average of the highest and lowest values, based on damage to Zalcano. One could potentially gain up to twice the rate shown here (for standard resources) with skilled gameplay, or much less if the opposite is true.

Note that the rates for the crystal tool seed and onyx are based on a four man team, and do not include MVP due to the difficulties calculating it. This rate would be fully accurate if a four man is splitting drops

Brews may not be needed for skilled players. It depends entirely on how much damage a player takes when fighting Zalcano. Stamina potions are often used, even when avoiding run-draining zones, due to the amount of running required for Zalcano.

Recharching rings of wealth[edit source]

Recharging rings of wealth

Requirements: Membership (uses both f2p and p2p worlds) 320,000 initial gp

Buy 26 rings of wealth and 2 stamina potions (around 300k)

Fill inventory with the 26 rings and 2 potions, then run to wilderness on the east side of varrock and hop the ditch. Use the first stamina potion to refill stamina and switch to f2p world. Run to the fountain of rune and switch to a members world to charge the rings. Run back to the mainland and use the second stamina potion. Switch back to f2p and run directly south til you get to level 20 wilderness, switching back to a members world here, and then use one ring to tp to grand exchange. Sell the rings. Use the money made to rebuy 25 empty rings and 2 stamina potions.

using the one ring to tp to the Ge prevents you from selling it but you can continue to use it to tp back as it will fill up everytime you charge the rings. This means youll be left with one ring of wealth (4).

One run takes approximately 9:28 including the wait time to fulfill the order of 25 empty rings.

If you do this more efficiently (buying multiple inventories of empty rings at once) you can make 320,000 hour, or exactly as stated its about 260,000 an hour. You could also sacrifice one inventory space to use a ring of dueling to teleport to the ferox enclave from the ge, and then run to fountain of rune but you may encounter more mobs. Calculations don't account for GE tax?[edit source]

Maybe I've missed something, but it seems to me that the profit calculations do not take the 1% GE tax into account. This would wildly change profitability for processing methods with lower margins, for example the profitability of making unfinished snapdragon potions gets more than cut in half. If that's the case I think it should be ideally fixed in the calculation or at least written about in relevant methods. -- 15:51, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

Update Money Making Guide to Account for 1% GE Tax[edit source]

The Money Making Guide for OSRS is out of date and generally incorrect due to the 1% GE tax that was implemented. The entire money making guide should be updated to account for the 1% tax when selling items as outputs.

Many processing money making methods outlined in the guide rely on large amounts of money being input and output and rely on profit margins not much more than 1%. The 1% GE tax reduces profit significantly for these methods. The hourly profit estimates off on all methods that involve selling items on the GE, but they are very far off for those types of processing methods. 18:54, 3 February 2022 (UTC)

Mining Iron Ore in traherun mine (prif)[edit source]

Hi there! I have occasionally been updating the mining pages. Something of note is that you can, with the correct stats, turn a decent profit (well...for skilling/exp mining anyway) by either standard mining or power mining iron ore in the mine and getting the crystals. Basically the rate is just the mining rate divided by crystal rate (1/127) and then 16k per shard. So between 1400-1700 iron ore per hour, let's say like 1500, that's ~120k standard, you can bank. Then you're getting 11.8 shards per hour, which is another 160k. So basically you can get 280k an hour mining iron ore (of course...96 herblore).. However, bastion potion is much more obtainable, exp wise, that's 8k, so that's around 80k extra, or 200k an hour. If you drop the iron ore, it's semi-passive income, based on whatever your herblore level and how that compares to current gp/shard. This might be more of a guide/note rather than money making method. Putting the info here because I'm not really sure like some of the other methods I've updated/posted, so any feedback would be good. Like, would it be a "mining iron ore in Traheurn mine", or "power mining iron ore in trahern mine" (crystals only)...etc. That's all from me. Cheers! Liosrakia (talk) 09:27, 11 February 2022 (UTC)

Add monetary requirements column to the table[edit source]

There needs to be a way for the costs required for all money makers to be displayed instead of clicking through all of them one by, so that people can spend a lot less time while researching how to make gp. Some people do not have access to lots of gp and would benefit if they did not have to click through all money makers to check if they have the gp requirement to do so

One such way we could do it is to add a gp requirements column to the table, and display the cost of each money maker.
