The Echo pickaxe is an item that can be obtained during the Grid Master community event by unlocking the Power Miner relic.

The echo pickaxe has no requirement to use or equip, and functions as a non-degradeable version of the crystal pickaxe that always mines on a 2-tick cycle. In addition, it has the following other benefits:

• On failing to mine a rock, there will be a separate 50% chance to succeed.
• Any items gathered from Mining are automatically sent to the player's bank.
• Rocks will not deplete until the player has mined 4 ores, stacking with the effects of Mining gloves for a maximum of 7 ores from a node.
  • Wearing mining gloves below the required tier for an ore (e.g. trying to mine runite ore with tier 1 mining gloves) will deactivate the echo pickaxe’s ability.
• 1 more minimum and maximum damage dealt to Het's Seal compared to a dragon pickaxe

The echo pickaxe also has two toggle-able effects:

• Collected ores are automatically smelted and grant Smithing experience regardless of the player's Smithing level.
• Gems gathered from mining are automatically cut and grant Crafting experience regardless of the player's Crafting level.

  • The echo pickaxe was obtained by selecting the Power Miner tier 1 relic.
  • Free-to-play players could not participate in the League.
