Nitroglycerin detail.png

Nitroglycerin is vial of chemicals used in The Dig Site quest which, when combined with ammonium nitrate, ground charcoal and an arcenia root, create a chemical compound. It may be obtained by using an empty vial on the barrel with a skull & crossbones symbol before being brought to the Archaeological expert for identification. If the barrel has not previously been opened, a trowel may be used on it in order to do so.

25 damage is done when the vial of unidentified liquid is dropped, or 35 damage is done when the vial of nitroglycerin is dropped. However it cannot kill you in the event that your life-points are already 25 or below. Many players using Dharok set use this effect to lower their hitpoints to hit higher. To safely dispose of the item, it may be alched or destroyed using the incinerator.

  • In real life nitroglycerin is the main component of dynamite and also heart medicine. It is too unstable to be handled in its pure form.
