Dark Lure is a spell within the Arceuus spellbook that requires level 50 Magic and the completion of A Kingdom Divided to be cast.

Casting Dark Lure causes the targeted monster to be lured towards the player, and will also stop monsters from retreating during combat, such as unicorns and ghouls. Monsters will still retreat while under the effects of Dark Lure if they are attacked from outside of their wander radius. Note that the spell only lures monsters close enough to attack the caster, not necessarily next to them. For example, lizardman shamans will not be lured into melee range of the player. Dark Lure remains active on monsters for 61.2 seconds, during which time the spell cannot be cast on them again.

The spell can also be cast on implings, causing them to move towards a 2x2 area near the player for six seconds. During this time other players cannot cast Dark Lure on the same impling. The spell also has a 10.2 second cooldown time after being cast, which can create an opening for other players competing for an impling if it is not caught initially.

The spell does not work on chompy birds.

Dark Lure cannot be used from the deck of a boat. Attempting to do so will cause a message to appear in the chatbox: I can't do that from here!

Like combat spells, Dark Lure performs an accuracy roll and can splash, making it less useful on monsters with high Magic defence.

(Update)

Implings affected by the Dark Lure spell will now move towards the player in a 2x2 area for 6 seconds (after which they will resume wandering), rather than briefly drift towards the player and returning to their normal wandering routine.
