Lumbridge Home Teleport is the home teleport on the standard spellbook. It provides players with a free transport every half an hour to Lumbridge, it is similar in most respects to Lumbridge Teleport. Home teleport has no level requirements in order to be used, allowing players who are low levelled or have had their stats drained access to it.

Casting the spell takes around fourteen seconds, and can be interrupted by combat. It also cannot be used while in combat. Like most teleport spells, the spell cannot be cast beyond level 20 Wilderness. Unlike other teleport spells, it cannot be cast in the cell in the H.A.M. Hideout. Additionally, it cannot be cast within certain areas of the grounds of Draynor Manor. The spell may only be used every 30 minutes: if a player tries to cast it before 30 minutes have elapsed, they are notified with the remaining time in minutes.

This cooldown is shared with that of other home teleports. Switching spell book will not allow you to use a different home teleport spell until 30 minutes has elapsed.

As with all home teleports, the Lumbridge Home Teleport default animation can be overridden with an alternative animation, if unlocked.

Trivia

• This spell was originally added to the spellbook during the early days of RuneScape 2 as a way for players to teleport out in case the new 3D environments made their characters get stuck and unable to move. Prior to this addition, the player would have had to contact a Jagex Moderator to teleport them out. The spell was left in the game due to how much the players liked it.
• There used to be a glitch that allowed a player to cancel combat animations. However this was later patched in a later hidden update.
• During the RuneScape 2 beta, the Lumbridge Teleport spell required no runes to cast, making it function similarly to the present day Lumbridge Home Teleport.
• Wizard Persten claims to have created this spell.
• During the March 2025 Sailing Alpha, the Lumbridge Home Teleport took the players to Port Sarim instead. The teleport also had the 30-minute cooldown removed.
