A spinning wheel is a device used with the Crafting skill to spin fibers into strings. Spinning wheels are marked on the map by this symbol: . The following table shows what fibers can be spun into what strings using a spinning wheel:

The closest spinning wheel to a bank is in the Crafting Guild, but the bank requires the hard Falador Diary or 99 Crafting to use, and the spinning wheel is a floor above the bank so requires two extra clicks per trip.

The closest usable in one click from a bank is in Nemus Retreat. This spinning wheel is also just a few tiles away from a flax field. Getting here requires completing Children of the Sun.

The spinning wheel on the 1^st floor^[UK]2^nd floor^[US] of Lumbridge Castle is the closest to a bank without any requirements. The bank is on the 2^nd floor^[UK]3^rd floor^[US]. There are sheep north of the castle for players wanting to make balls of wool.

The Seers' Village spinning wheel spins 33% faster for players who have completed the medium Kandarin Diary.

Repairable locations

Three broken spinning wheels exist that need to be repaired before using them. One broken spinning wheel is in the Museum Camp on Fossil Island and requires level 28 Construction, 4 oak planks, 5 nails, and a hammer to repair. The second is the broken spinning wheel on the Isle of Souls and requires level 5 Construction, 5 planks, 1 ball of wool, 1 iron bar, and a hammer to repair. Finally there is a spinning wheel space on Anglers' Retreat.
