Achey Tree

Achey Trees are pointy-looking trees that are found only in Feldip Hills and south of Castle Wars. They need level 1 Woodcutting to be chopped. When chopped, they give achey tree logs and 25 woodcutting experience. The tree only provides one set of logs before depleting.

The tree follows the same mechanics as most other trees and has a roll to chop a log every 4 game ticks.

All trees have different chances to chop a log depending on the tree being cut, the players woodcutting level, and the axe being used.

The chance to receive the beaver woodcutting pet while chopping achey trees is 1 in 317,647 - (Lvl * 25)

Firemaking[edit | edit source]

A firemaking level of 1 is needed to burn archey logs, providing 40 experience.

The infernal axe provides firemaking experience when cutting archey trees. The axe has a 1/3 chance of burning any log received when cutting trees, providing half of the firemaking experience a player would have received if the log was burned normally. When Cutting archey trees, the axe provides 20 firemaking experience per log burned.

Special uses[edit | edit source]

Brutal arrows are fletched through Fletching skill from achey tree logs. You make them by cutting the logs with a knife to make them into ogre arrow shafts.

They are needed in Big Chompy Bird Hunting quest, as well as the Zogre Flesh Eaters quest.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • In the Haunted Woods there are trees that look exactly the same as achey trees, but are labelled as "tree" and cannot be cut down. Their examine text says "It's covered in slime."
