Efh salt rocks containing Efh salt can be found in the Salt Mine under Weiss. Efh salt rocks can be mined with a Mining level of 72 and higher. It appears that the iron pickaxe (spawned nearby) performs just as well as any other pickaxe on salt rocks. Efh salt rocks have a 1/7 chance of being depleted each time they are mined.[1] Boosting one's mining level can provide more salt per successful mine so it is still recommended to utilise the dragon pickaxe's special.
