The magma helm is obtained by using a magma mutagen on a serpentine helm. The magma helm retains the stats and abilities of the serpentine helm, the only difference being the appearance of the helmet. Like the regular helm, it cannot be equipped if it is uncharged, except when it fully degrades while being worn. In addition, players can configure the charges while the magma helm is in their bank by right-clicking on Configure-Charges, as long as players have the required materials.

If a player loses the magma helm in a PvP death, the magma mutagen will be placed in their gravestone.

The Magma helm does not count as a piece of warm clothing in the Wintertodt.

Clicking restore brings up a prompt to remove the colouring on the helm.
