edit- Jeremy Clerksin is a reference to the broadcaster Jeremy Clarkson, best known for presenting the British motoring programme Top Gear. Both show a receding hairline typical of male-pattern baldness, while Clerksin's examine text also appears to contain a pun involving car tyres. In one episode of Top Gear, Jeremy Clarkson reportedly did sleep in a church.
- In the Varrock Census, the profession of Jeremy Clerksin is revealed to be 'Cart Expert', which is a play on Jeremy Clarkson being a 'Car Expert'.
