Rug Merchants operate magic carpets for Ali Morrisane's flying carpet fleet. There is usually a monkey around these men. They are stationed in the Kharidian Desert at the Shantay Pass, Uzer, the Bedabin Camp, north and south Pollnivneach, Nardah, Sophanem, and Menaphos. Southern Pollnivneach and Shantay Pass have several travel options acting as hubs of transportation.

Using magic carpets requires paying 200 coins. Completing the Rogue Trader miniquest or wearing a ring of charos (a) reduces the price to 100 coins. Doing both lowers the cost to 75 coins. Completion of the hard Desert Diary makes all magic carpet rides free.
