Dream is a Lunar spell that causes the caster to fall asleep, during which time hitpoints will regenerate three times faster than normal, healing 1 hitpoint every 20 seconds, or 3 hitpoints per minute. Players must complete Dream Mentor to cast it.
The dream effect will remain indefinitely, ending only once the caster reaches full health, at which point it can't be re-cast until losing health. However, the dream will be interrupted if the caster does anything except chat or change armour. Poison damage will interrupt the dream.
Dream's healing effect will add to other regenerative effects, with both effects going off the base healing rate of 1 hitpoint per minute. As Dream runs on a separate timer from the player's main hitpoints regeneration,[1] the two regeneration timers may not restore hitpoints at exactly the same time. The following table shows how much Dream will heal each minute when combined with other regenerative effects:
Trying to cast Dream within the Nightmare Zone yields the message "You cannot perform Inception here. Dreaming within this dream will inevitably activate your Kick (i.e. Waking up from the dream)." This is a reference to the 2010 film Inception.
When players have the jar of dreams in their inventory while casting the spell, the screen will slowly turn black, and The Nightmare's face will show up, together with the sound of the Armadyl crossbow's special attack.
