Prison Pete is found in the Prison random event in ScapeRune. To escape, players must locate balloon animals that resemble the one shown to them when they pull the lever on the wall. The player receives a prison key in their inventory after popping a balloon animal. The player must give him three correct keys in a row to leave the cell and escape to freedom. Logging out resets the random event's progress.

He appears to be the ScapeRune version of Party Pete.

Strategy

You do not have to close the image before clicking on a balloon animal, which may be easier than trying to memorize the image.

If memorizing the image, however, it may be easier to remember each part of the balloon animal separately:

• Head: antlers, ears (one section), or ears (two sections)
• Body: thick or thin
• Tail: long (one section), long (two sections), or short

Rewards

The event can be left before completion by talking with Prison Pete, but this grants no rewards.

Trivia

• ScapeRune is a facsimile of the Falador Party Room and the surrounding area of eastern Falador.
• When the Party Room was located in Seers' Village, ScapeRune was a facsimile of the building and its surrounding area.
• Dying in this random event, by dealing damage to yourself, will cause you to respawn inside the event with the text The power of this special place protects your possessions. appearing in the chatbox.
• It is possible to make Pete angry by littering in the exit hallway. To do this, players must first drop an item on the floor while completing the event. Then, when leaving the event, click to stay when prompted to pick up items. After that, players can attempt to drop an item in the exit hallway, prompting Pete to get angry at the player.
• Trying to cast a spell such as High Level Alchemy in the random event will yield the message You didn't come here to do that!
