A battlemage potion is a potion that combines the properties of a magic and super defence potion:

• Magic will be boosted by 4
• Defence will be boosted by 5 + 15% of the player's level (rounded down)

It can be made by a player with 80 Herblore by using a cadantine on a vial of blood, then adding a potato cactus to the unfinished cadantine blood potion. This grants 155 Herblore experience.

Defence boost by level

Defence boost is calculated with: $\lfloor \text{Defence Level}\times \frac{15}{100}\rfloor +5$

Stat boosts will decay at a rate of 1 point per minute, or 90 seconds with the use of Preserve.

• When a player drinks the battlemage potion, the chatbox will state "You drink some of your battlemage potion. It's a little tangy." The bastion potion will also add this.
