Trout detail.png

Trout is a food item obtained by cooking raw trout on either a fire or a range with a Cooking level of 15. Consuming trout results in regaining 7 hitpoints. 10 trout are used during the Death Plateau quest, to help Tenzing in return for the map. Cooking trout rewards 70 Cooking experience. Players can accidentally burn trout while cooking, until they have reached level 50 Cooking (fire), or level 49 Cooking (range), although it becomes very rare at level 38. It may also be used as an ingredient in a fish pie, though a Cooking level of 47 is required to make the pie. Trout can be bought in the Warriors' Guild, which may be accessed with combined Attack and Strength levels of 130 or greater.
