12 Days of Dragon Sleigher was a festive dragon-themed clue-seeker event held in the run-up to the launch of Dragon Slayer II, where a clue was released each day on three separate social media channels starting on Christmas Day of 2017 up until the quest's launch on 4 January 2018. The event was announced in the It's Christmas Time update post, alongside the launch of the in-game Christmas event of that year.

Get ready for the 12 days of #DragonSleigher!

Each day we'll be posting dragon-related clues to our Twiter, Facebook & Instagram which can be solved in game. Solve the clue and you'll start a christmas loot explosion!

The first clue will be released tomorrow. Good luck!

— From the official Old School RuneScape Twitter account[1]

Upon solving the riddle posted on one of these channels, the first player to perform the in-game actions hinted at would trigger a "Christmas loot explosion", causing holiday items to spawn in the nearby area for a period of 20 minutes, the total amount of which would scale based on the amount of players present at that time.[2][3]

Although the riddle could be solved on any world, when the loot explosion was activated, it would then become locked to that world, with an official tweet revealing its location as well as the identity of the first solver.[4] Afterwards, it could not be triggered a second time, nor on any other world.

A global announcement would also be sent out to all players present on the world it was solved in at the time.[5][6]

Or maybe just a quick, sharp threat or fright?

Solution

[edit | edit source]

The solution likely involved Klarense in some fashion, who is stood on the southern dock of Port Sarim. It remains unknown however how players were intended to interact with him.
