Begging has existed since the beginning of RuneScape, but after much testing, research, and a whole lot of saying the word Please, This below is about as much as you can expect.
Notes:
1: Beg for good amounts: There is a balance between begging for too little and hardly profiting at all, and begging for an amount nobody can spare, and also hardly profiting at all. As of the time of the testing, it is found that begging for 100,000 generally profits the most per hour, as many people can spare this amount, and it is not so little that begging for it profits you none.
2: If it is an option, do not specifically beg for coins: If you are willing to sell items on the Grand exchange instead of getting direct coins, this makes the money making guide much more lucrative, as players feel much less guilty about giving you an item worth around 1,000,000 than they would giving you a similar amount in coins.
3: Do not act selfish: If you say things along the lines of "I need the money more than you do." or simply demanding it without please or thank you, such as "Give me 1m" people will think giving you money to be a waste of their time and money, and be far less likely to help you.
4: Don't be a bot: If you are just copy-paste begging, it will drastically reduce the amount of money you will recieve per hour, even if you can get more lines out that way, if you engage in conversation with the people around, and ask in different ways, people will see that you likely could actually use the money, instead of being a total loss of money without rhyme or reason.
5: Don't do scams: As tempting as it may be if you are not doing well financially, it is not only a reportable offence to turn to these ways of making money, but as nearly all modern players know of these, it is also less likely to make money as simply asking for help.
