The profit rate assumes 55 kills per hour. Your actual profits may be higher or lower depending on your speed and luck.
Tormented Demons notably drop Tormented synapses and Burning claws as uniques. Both the synapse and the claw drop at a rate of 1/500, and the former accounts for the majority of profit. Thralls are optional, but can help deal extra damage and if lucky, force the demon to pray against it and not against the player's combat style, meaning less time for switches.
Due to several demon mechanics, players can minimise the need for food with well-timed Saradomin or Ancient godsword specials. The demons also have periodic drops of manta rays and Smouldering pile of flesh, which further minimise food need. While a bit less uncommon, the smouldering gland essentially acts as one or two free prayer potions when properly used.
The average Tormented Demon kill is worth 103,270 coins. If the player does not receive any unique, the average kill is worth 17,448 coins. These rates assume decent gear and above recommended stats when on a Slayer task. However, it is possible to achieve higher kills per hour with excellent gear and efficient strategy.
If using the Arclight, make sure to change your weapon's attack style to Stab, as Tormented Demons are significantly weaker to Stab. It is worth noting that in case one doesn't have access to the Scorching bow, using Magic is significantly more effective than using alternative ranged weapons such as the Toxic Blowpipe.
