STASH

STASH (short for "Store Things And Stuff Here") are storage units for emote clue items, saving bank space and time for players who frequent Treasure Trails. While beginner-tier clues can be done in free-to-play, only members can make use of these units as they require use of the Construction skill.

There are a total of 119 constructible STASH units throughout Gielinor. All these locations are initially labelled as "inconspicuous bushes/crates/holes/rocks" and, once built, become usable STASH units. Players can see which units they've already constructed and filled via a S.t.a.s.h chart in the study of a player-owned house, or by reading the noticeboard within Watson's house.

Materials

The materials and level required to construct a STASH unit from an inconspicuous object depend on the tier of the related clue scroll. These levels can be boosted.

Players require any hammer and saw to construct these units. The type of nails used is irrelevant, however all ten nails must be made of the same metal. Since nails cannot be bent while constructing STASH units, it's advised to use the cheapest possible nails. Notably, dragon nails do not work.

Inconspicuous objects will visually appear in one of four different ways, so STASH units blend in as well as possible with their scenery.

Stashing items

Interacting with a constructed STASH unit allows the player to stash the related emote clue items in it. It's only possible to stash the full set of items required for the emote clue, not individual parts of it. Gilded, ornamented, and other variants of required items can be used and stashed in place unless stated otherwise. Other items cannot be stashed in these storage units.

Enabling the "STASH units take equipped items" setting in the Settings menu allows the player to directly store equipped emote clue items without having to unequip them first. In case the player has more than one of a storable item, those in the inventory take priority over those equipped.

Items can be taken out of a filled STASH unit by interacting with it again, as long as the player has enough inventory space to take out all stashed items at once.

Trivia

STASH units were referred to as Hidey Holes in the blogposts and poll proposing the system be added to the game. While this name is used in RuneScape 3 for the name of its equivalent of the STASH unit system, it is not used in Old School RuneScape.

[Dragon-7] 2.0 ^2.1 The dragon pickaxe and dragon axe may be replaced with the infernal pickaxe/axe or crystal pickaxe/axe. The axe may also be replaced with a dragon or Crystal felling axe.

[Entrana-8] 3.0 ^3.1 ^3.2 ^3.3 Armour cannot be brought onto Entrana, therefore the items needed for the Entrana church emote clue must be crafted on the island. The cost for the raw materials used for this armour is calculated for this emote clue.

[9] The cost for the crystal bow is the price of a crystal weapon seed, and does not include the value of the 40 crystal shards required to sing the bow.

[10] In contrast to other item sets, the pharaoh's sceptre is only required for the emote clue step, not to fill its STASH unit.

[11] The fire cape may be replaced with the infernal cape, fire max cape, or infernal max cape.

[12] NOTE: Players are not able to store an empty Rosewood Blowpipe in this STASH. The blowpipe must be filled with any type of darts to be deposited.
